The ticket you purchase to travel on TAZARA also entitles you to carry a particular weight of luggage, depending on what kind of ticket it is. Passengers with valid tickets are allowed to convey the following as hand luggage free of charge:

Any excess luggage will require to be paid for and conveyed in the luggage van attached to the same train the passenger is travelling on except in special circumstances where the excess luggage may be delivered at a later date.
